Hey! My name is Ivy and I’m an enthusiastic, caring, and adventurous person who loves working with children and helping families thrive. Growing up as a bossy (but loving!) big sister, I think being an au pair was in my nature. Over the years, I’ve gained experience caring for children of all ages and supporting those with a wide range of special needs.
My experience with children is extensive. I worked as a specialised teacher aide through summer and helped support children who each dealt with different syndromes and disorders. It was very demanding but I found it very fufilling as we made progress and I felt my help was needed and I was glad to give it! I have also worked for a lovely family in Wellington as a Nanny for two girls, aged 5 and 7.
My biggest passion is travel. When I was sixteen I moved from New Zealand to Sweden alone (very long flight!) and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I find I have a very extroverted personality that travel really indulges. I have traveled to Thailand with my family many times, to Ireland and Malta with my mother, to Norway and Denmark alone and to Vietnam last New Years with Swedish girlfriends. Other than that, I love animals, fashion, and I enjoy reading and writing.
