Persönliche Einführung

My name is Dumar, I am 25 years old and I am a fourth semester electronics engineering student. I live in the city of Bogotá with my mother and my twin brother. Since I was 15 years old I have felt curiosity and admiration for different cultures, I am a passionate about the technological world, artificial intelligence, electronics and programming, which is why I like to closely follow all the news that arises in this sector in developed countries. I feel that being an Au Pair would allow me to discover a different culture from mine, improve my level of English, take a close look at the technology that always comes to our country and of course travel and meet people, climates and environments. From my point of view, being immersed in a family in a foreign country is the best way to learn about the traditions, customs and lifestyle of the world that is around us and start a new adventure abroad. My relationship with children began in my own home since I have two nephews who are currently 12 and 6 years old and live with me since my sister was single mom, it was my duty and personal pleasure to help them as much as possible, to feed them, take care of them, guide them with their homework, take them to or pick them up from school, etc., becoming an older brother who accompanied his growth. In this sense, I like to play with children, understand them and accompany them in recreational and academic activities. In the same way, I like to interact with them because I also learn things from them, I have fun and I can observe their creativity and innocence. I have talent to teach, for this reason different people and relatives have asked me to help their children with math or helping with homework when i take care of them occasionally. I am a curious person who likes challenges. I like the idea of living new experiences as long as they are safe and responsibly. Living in another culture will be the opportunity to see the world with different eyes, therefore, the family that chooses me must have the certainty that their children will be able to have an older brother who will accompany their upbringing and will be present for their care, games and school tasks with the confidence of that I have experience in the subject since the day I became an uncle. Experiencia con niños I have been babysitter since I was in high school, I helped look after my nephews Dylan (12 years old) and Liam (6 years old) where I was in charge of taking them to school and to the kindergarten at 6:00 in the morning and to pick them up at 3:00 in the afternoon respectively, give them a snack, do homework or play with them until my sister came back home. Currently in my free time I invite them to play video games, board games, go to the park, I accompany them to take basketball, skating and swimming lessons in those who are registered and I help them with their homework. I am very good with mathematics and it is easy for me and I like to teach, so in 2016 when I served in the military as a high school soldier, I had the opportunity to give math and chemistry classes to the daughters (Valentina, 6 years old), and (Keith, 11 years old) of one of the colonels of the canton, who discovered my skills in these subjects. I currently teach my nephew Dylan who is in 6th grade every weekend, reinforcing the knowledge he acquires at school. In 2020, during the pandemic I helped an aunt who works with the ICBF* as a surrogate mother and she has taken care of several children of different ages, as they live with her 24 hours a day, she constantly needs collaboration with different activities, for which I offered to take care of them for hours, having as tasks to tide their bedrooms with them, play in their leisure time, accompany them during meals time, among others. I have spend time with many of this foster children but i have had spent more time with Finic (5 years old) and Sofia ( 9 years old) * Social Work Institution for children in Colombia.
